Abstract

The design of this classroom follow-up research refers to the Spiral Kemmis and Taggrat learning model according to Arikunto which is carried out in two cycles and each cycle consists of four stages, namely (1) planning, (2) implementation, (3) observation, (4) reflection. This research was conducted on the results of the action test, there was an increase in the problem solving ability of students. Starting from the initial test to the final test of the second cycle of action. The increase can be seen from 68.00% in the first cycle to 93.375% in the second cycle. For the results of observations of students and teachers there was an increase from cycle I to cycle II. The increase in student observation results can be seen from 64.29% in cycle I to 93.26% in cycle II, and an increase in teacher observation results can be seen from 71.67% from cycle I to 98.81% in cycle II. This shows that the application of the Double Loop Problem Solving model on triangle material can improve the mathematical problem solving ability of Class VIII A students at SMP Negeri 1 Luwuk Banggai Regency.
